This position is expected to report on the progress and status of sustainability (especially community development and investment) performance to both country and corporate management.&nbsp; The main focus of this position is to develop strong sustainability capabilities and competencies within our locations, in addition to:&nbsp;</p>

<li>Provide technical input and support to the corporation in the development and implementation of an internal audit program for environment in liaison with health and safety Director.</li>
<li>Provide interpretation and guidance to the corporation to ensure accurate information on environment regulations and proposed regulations affecting the industry and the business enterprise.</li>
<li>Assist all operating facilities and exploration in their efforts to remain free of any environment regulatory violations through the initiation of facility and regulatory audit and oversight. If deficiencies exist, keep the Centerra COO and VP Exploration informed and work with responsible site and exploration personnel to correct deficiencies as required.</li>
<li>Propose and guide the implementation of the most economically feasible solutions to the environment issues facing the corporation.</li>
<li>Maintain contact with appropriate government and regulatory authorities.</li>
<li>Complete environment due diligence on any project or company acquisition.</li>
<li>In conjunction with the VP Human Resources, the COO, General Counsel, VP Exploration, Director Sustainable Development, and Investor Relations provide input, support and implementation of any environment related community, government and public relations strategies and initiatives.</li>
