Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

•Main customer focus is Mining, Pulp & Paper and Water Treatment
•Call on established and prospective customers to sell Company products and services
•Market research for and cold call on potential customers
•Ability to network within main industries and develop long standing relationships
•Strong internal communication to co-ordinate with Customer Service, Warehouse & Shipping staff to maintain superior customer service levels and ensure resolution of complaints
•Co-ordinates with Purchasing staff to ensure availability of product
•Out of town travel is expected.  Estimated at 7 to 8 nights per month
•Utilize Salesforce.com to manage customer information during all planning phases.
 

Qualifications:

University degree or two (2) years specialized training/experience in the above industry focus (i.e. mining engineer, chemical sales) or two (2) years experience in outside sales is required.  Must be self-motivated and have the ability to relate to, and communicate with, individuals at all levels.

Company & Job Description:

 

Mining house team position to create and manage multiple company resource data bases and participate in resource estimation and mine planning. The companies in the group include:

·         Global Atomic Fuels Corporation, currently developing uranium deposits in Niger, West Africa

·         Romex Mining Corporation, a gold exploration stage company in Ghana, West Africa

·         Harte Gold Corp, currently developing the Sugar Zone Deposit in White River, Ontario


Some basics of the role responsibilities:

  • Resource modelling and estimation
  • Reserve modelling and optimization
  • Development & improvement of resource estimation techniques
  • Reporting and documentation of geological models
  • Target generation and drill program design
  • Audits and Reviews of current resource
  • Monitoring QA/QC data and procedures
  • Database management
  • Developing the companies’ geology and data procedures and standards
  • Liaise with mine geology and exploration geology teams
  • Development of mine design for a 70,000 tonne bulk sample in addition to Life of Mine designs
  • To secure your new role you must have had some prior experience as a Resource Geologist and have a detailed understanding of geostatistical resource estimation methods as well as solid geological modelling & software skills. Experience in underground mine design is preferable.

Credentials: BSc Geology or Mining Engineering degree

                   Knowledge in operating Gemcom, Surpac, Fusion, Vulcan or similar software

Registered or having ability to be registered as a professional engineer or geologist

                   French language capability would be helpful

Experience: 5 – 7 years
