You will evaluate the quality of health and safety programs in a variety of workplaces, provide outcome-oriented consulting, and develop clear and concise action plans. This may include facilitating meetings and leading industry committees, visiting sites underground or in remote locations as well as delivering high-impact training to supervisors and workers.
A natural leader, you will be able to analyze complex situations, determine when technical support is required, develop clear recommendations, and write reports. Your experience developing work plans and schedules, setting and meeting goals, and working with minimal supervision is complemented by the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
As the ideal candidate, you possess sound knowledge of adult education, coaching, and facilitation. You have a post-secondary education or the equivalent combined with seven years of experience in occupational health and safety and a CRSP designation or the ability to attain it. Experience in a mining-related discipline is required. As a condition of employment, post-offer functional testing will be conducted as arranged by Workplace Safety North. A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are required.
