HRMS Project Manager (2017-2423)

Job Description

The HRMS Project Manager role will have primary systems ownership of the Human Resource Systems. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that these systems are functioning as expected and meeting the end-users needs. The incumbent will provide technical leadership on implementing and maintaining the HRMS solution and any relative solution design, business process analysis, and system integration. Redpath is seeking an experienced project manager who is able to coordinate all aspects of the project, communicate with senior management and be an active contributor.


Duties and Responsibilities  


  • Responsible to drive the implementation of HRMS at Redpath and will be involved in the development of several key project deliverables (e.g. system selection, charter, project/staffing plan, issue logs, etc.).

  • Liaise with selected Vendor’s project manager, identify and resolve issues to ensure project success.

  • Manage the project budget, schedule, project performance and deliverables, recommending remedial action as needed.

  • Regular reporting to Steering Committee on progress and presentation of change orders.

  • Liaise with Senior Leaders, VP’s and Steering Committee.

  • Accountable for the development/completion of Internal Acceptance User Acceptance Testing test scenarios and scripts (supported by the Vendor’s Implementation Lead).

  • Accountable for the development/completion of SOP's/Process Flows, including integrated process flows cross domain as needed.

  • Lead and mentor project team resources during implementation and regional HR leads for system administration and maintenance.

  • Coordinate and participate in system training.

  • Assist in development of standard reports.

  • Plan, test and ongoing implementation of HRMS upgrades and patches.

  • Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client related information.


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources or Business.

  • Seven (7) years’ experience in managing similar implementations of HRMS applications (e.g. SAP, Workday, Oracle, etc.).

  • Prior experience with a major systems integrator and/or enterprise software company an asset.


    Knowledge and Skills  


  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Internet technology.

  • Working knowledge of business areas (HR, Benefits, Payroll, General Ledger, Finance, Supply Chain)

  • Excellent organization, time management, communication, and negotiating skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Passion for customer service.

  • Bilingualism (French or Spanish) an asset.



    This position is based at our Head office which is located in North Bay, Ontario however; there may be some flexibility with respect to working remotely. The ability to travel internationally is required.
