Titan Mining Corporation is reopening the Empire State Mines, operated by St. Lawrence Zinc Company, in upstate New York near the town of Gouverneur. We are currently assembling our key operations team and are seeking one credentialed professional with experience in narrowvein mines to fill the role of Mine Engineer. The Company is seeking qualified applicants that share a desire to apply modern state-of-the-art technology and standards to a mine of the future.
Execution of tasks related to various fields of mine design & layout, long term & short term planning, geotechnical, special projects and an emphases on mine ventilation design & monitoring;
Develop and update mine plans to keep operations on budget targets and within the long range plan. Track progress of mine designs, ventilation and ground support ensuring accuracy;
Provide technical support for all aspects of Mine Operations including u/g monitoring for ventilation and geotechnical purposes;
Ensure all reporting is accurately submitted in a timely manner and complies with all state and federal regulations ;
Communicate effectively with direct supervisor, Geology and Production departments;
BS/BA degree in Mining; and ability to work in the US;
3-5 years of post-graduate experience in underground mine engineering, preferably in narrow-vein mines;
Valuable theoretical and practical experience in ventilation and ground control is essential; Experience with 3D modeling and mine planning software; proficiency in use of VentSim 3-D Mine Ventilation, Vulcan, AutoCAD, and PROMINE is an advantage;
Skill in written and verbal communication (in English), critical thinking, data analysis;
