Job Description

Redpath Mongolia LLC has an immediate opening for a Procedural Development Coordinator to join their dynamic team at the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Project in Mongolia. The site is situated in Southern Mongolia in the heart of the Gobi Desert flatlands.

Closing: February 21, 2018


Location: Oyu Tolgoi


Rotation: 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off


Shift Length: 12 hours

Travel: Flights provided from point of hire to job site

Job Description

The Procedural Development Coordinator is responsible for researching and developing standardized work procedures for underground mining equipment and mining activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Research OEM-Client Materials as necessary for SWP Development

  • Develop and format SWPs for work activities and mobile/fixed equipment operations

  • Revise SWPs as reviews/updates required

  • Validate drafted SWP for applicability and utilization in the underground workplace

  • Have SWP translated

  • Obtain approved signatures up on completion of validation

  • Submit approved SWP to document control for registration. Once registered the SWP is uploaded to the portal for use

  • Track/Provide SWP data on a weekly basis for Dayan Management and Project Controls

  • The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive


Skills & Experience

  • 5-10 years experience working in a similar field

  • Post secondary mining related degree

  • Proven ability to read, review and understand Standard Work Procedures, safety programs and applicable mine legislation

  • Ability to work and train in a multicultural environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively in a one-on-one and group environment
