Clean Air Metals Inc. (“Clean Air”) is looking for an experienced Senior Geologist with specific experience and knowledge of orthomagmatic Ni-Cu-PGE mineralization and deposits, in particular magmatic conduits. Applicants must have proven ability to plan and manage diamond drilling programs, regional and detailed geological mapping programs, and familiarity with the Ontario digital MLAS claims management system. Knowledge of GIS software (particularly MapInfo), geochemistry, , QA/QC techniques, and a variety of presentation software are required. A knowledge of resource modeling and associated software (particularly Micromine) and various borehole geophysical techniques (particularly the Crone pulse EM and MMR systems) would be useful. The position is primarily field-based and will entail drill program supervision, core logging, program planning, QA/QC, geological mapping, etc. and will require a good level of physical fitness and mobility. A proactive safety mindset is a must.
The successful applicant must hold at least a Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited university, have at least 10 years of field-based mineral exploration experience since graduation, must be able to work as part of an integrated team, and be willing to work closely, usually on a daily basis, with the Vice President Project Manager.
- Directly managing all aspects of active Clean Air exploration programs;
- Research, planning and implementing exploration programs as part of the Clean Air team approach;
- Other duties as assigned.
This will be a staff position with benefits and annual leave and will be based at Clean Air’s main office located in Thunder Bay Ontario. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
